Finally, a break in the storm. It was wonderful getting out and walking today. The lake looks so pretty.
This is the top end of our street. People were out shoveling, all saying hello. They get friendlier after being shut in for five days!
Here is our lovely drive way. I had a great time sliding down it on a cookie sheet last night!
Eloise takes a break from playing. Franz spent all morning digging out the car. We delivered Christmas bread to the lucky neighbours - seeing as there is little chance ward members or favorite teachers will get it. Happy happy!

It looks so beautiful! I love that you have the perfect driveway for sledding, too.
Holy freakin' cow...that is a lot of snow. We're leaving tomorrow after work, heading your way, but I'm not sure if we're going to drive up with all that snow. We'll call you in the morning!
We are not supposed to have any more bad weather till next week, so roads should be okay tomorrow.
Wow! That is gorgeous. The Hills are coming by? No one tells us anything.
It looks a bit cooler than when we were there! I love the look of snow but I'm not unhappy not to have too much here! Do you have snow ploughs coming round to clear the roads or do you have to do that yourselves?
The plough inevitably comes through as soon as we have dug out the car and end of the drive. It creates a big berm right on top of the car! (we park at the bottom when it snows so we don't have to bother shoveling the entire thing right off). It takes people days, even weeks at times to dig out from the berms that the ploughs leave behind. The problem is that when you have so much snow you run out of places to put it. I understand they do dump some into the lake.
In Upstate NY, because we have lake effect snow from 2 Great Lakes, and therefore can get dumped on every day for weeks on end, they have to ship the snow out of town! It does look beautiful. Our neighbor has a snowblower and he takes care of the end of our driveway so we can get out when it's really bad!
