Ghost Walk
I am several chapters away from the completion of this book - Ghost Walk, by Rebecca Stott. I've really enjoyed it so far. It is a modern day murder mystery, entangled with the 17th century, that involves Newton and his quest as an alchemist. It brings up some really fun theories. For instance, one of the characters is a scientist who believes that the mind is not restricted to our brain or skull, that it hovers outside of the skull, which explains the phrase "eyes in the back of his head". Our mind can see when someone is staring at us, which is why we feel the need to look. I'm going to experiment with that one - especially at church.
It also gives wonderful descriptions of East Anglia and the fens, now and what it would have been like in the 17th century. I love finding a good book.

That sounds like an interesting read, I'll have to check it out.
I'm going to pick this one up. I did finish Tess and I loved it. I also watched the PBS version of it, it's on our DVR. I like that as well. We've got book club tonight to discuss it.
Looks great! I'll check it out. I've just started the new Wally Lamb. So far I like it...given our schedule here, though, it will probably take me forever to read.
