A New Patio

Well, I have finally finished the sunken patio and damn it looks good! The walls, as I have said, are local rock, most dug out of our backyard. The floor is pea gravel as are the stairs and the path leading to the patio. The path will soon extend towards the shed with a small patch of lawn that is growing very nicely. We are looking forward to many relaxing evening meals here with the bats flitting over head, reading Gothic novels and spending quality family time (since we are slim on friends here). The pictures here are of me starting the stairs, the second is the final result and the third, Serena pondering Emerson's essay Nature in the natural environment.
