Our garden unfolds

I am having so much fun watching our garden unfold. Here are some of my roses and my favorite view. I love watching the black capped chickadees fly in and out of the hole in one of our trees, carrying worms all day. They are so busy. As soon as they fly in the babies all start cheeping. When they leave it gets very quiet.

We had a fun weekend. The mountain communities are known for their Memorial Day and Labor Day yard sales. Franz's sister Heidi came up with Delany and Luke. We found some good deals on kids clothes, new Birkenstocks for me, an antique Bissel Sweeper for my rugs, oh and old buttons for my pillow projects. Monday we were invited to a BBQ at a park with folks from church. It was fun and we found some interesing people. Our new home teacher studied pottery in Japan - wood kilns. That is pretty cool.

Well, must get Eloise out of the bath. Later,
Serena

Gorgeous flowers! You guys are so lucky, you have it all within driving distance.

Okay, okay...we have a lame excuse. Brian and I were in southern CA on business! We drove up from San Diego on Saturday morning (about a 1/2 hour before the wedding) then had to leave right after the luncheon to drive to Long Beach and catch our flight. So really we weren't there long at all. I do apologize though! Brian and I are moving home for the rest of the summer, so hopefully we can get some of our family members to drive down and see you guys! That would be fun! We're excited to see you in July!
