California Soaring

Today we went down to Redlands for violin lessons, then drove to Pasadena to hand Stella over to her parents. We made a surprise visit to Michele, Addy and Elias. They were staying cool indoors - the smart thing to do. We also admired their new refridgerator - brought by the baby fairy. Nice!

On our drive back home as we passed the lake going up to our house MaCall says "there is an eagle". Franz pulled over and we watched a pair of bald eagles swoop past in a semi circle over the lake and land in the pines on the other side. Wow. That is what makes living in the mountains worth while.

Watching Bald Eagles is great fun isn't it. Seeing them in Maine is always one of the highlights of the trip.

Do they nest there are were they passing through?

what are you going to do for a camera? I would be dying if I were you guys. Hope you get it resolved soon. The quilt top and bottom are done, but my friend had to leave town for a few days last minute so I can't stipple until late next week.

I think there is a chance the eagles could be nesting near the lake as I am sure I saw one last week just as he swooped into the tall pines. We will keep watching.
I have two more things to try with camera - reupload software, buy a new cable. Otherwise, time to buy a new camera - after Franz's root canal, the car registration etc...
