Fall Preview

Well, autumn has arrived early - or perhaps this is just a teaser - but it feels all too real! We are socked in rain, fog and wind. The temerature has dropped and we now have the heater set on auto. I was not ready for this. It came too soon! MaCall does not have her sweats for PE yet and will freeze, she has also out grown all jackets and coats and boots, we have not cut our fire wood, our car for some reason does not like wind, damp and cold so would not start this morning. (we don't have chains yet either) After some pushing it up and down the drive - getting wet - we did manage to get it started. Franz is now out there somewhere with the girls. I phoned a few minutes ago and it had stalled again, but they got it going. Not good. So, they say the real storm will come tomorrow with snow at possible 6000 feet levels - we are at 5500. We will see. I did put weather stripping on the front door and did you know that you can buy little foam things that go behind your electrical outlets and light switches - on the outside walls - to keep the heat in? I need to do that too.

Well, hope you are all cosy!

I love this weather. It feels so great. Your car issues stink though. Hope you get them all worked out. Get warm!

Beautiful! I've been searching for long pants and jackets down here as well. Probably will only need them for a few days though.

Wow, I guess mountain living really is different and unpredictable. We'll be in LA this weekend, very short trip though. Take care!
