wake up, wake up, wake up you sleepy head!

Throughout the history of my illness, September and October have marked a radical decline and this year seems to be no different. I can not wake up. I can sleep all day and amazingly, all night. Can is the wrong word, must. I have no choice. My body will not fully wake up. I just keep slinking back onto the bed or couch and going to sleep. This is not easy on my family who rather need me. The girls have activities, Franz is under immense work levels at the moment, trying to create fabulous interactive online courses - complete with power point lectures, video clips etc. all with the promise of added income and I have paintings to paint! I just need a chauffeur, cook and maid. Good night.

Serena, do you need me to come up and help you for a day? I know I'm kinda far, but not too far to not help. Please let me know what I can do, I can make arrangements for the older kids and bring Luke with me. If the paintings you are talking about happen to be jackman children--take a break. Let's plan on late Oct. to trade, I was wondering if you guys wanted to come trick-or-treat with us this year??

We've been talking about the trick or treating and were going to ask if we could come down. We thought it would be fun to do it with you guys.

sorry Serena that you feel so bad. I wish there was a cure for it. I also wish I could help you somehow.

I feel for you - I have a hard time with changing schedules, but mine is due to my own lack of self control. Hang in there - I also wish I could be there for you!

Serena has Parvo which is similar to Chronic Fatigue. She contracted it in England when Eloise was young. It is an ordinary childhood disease, but in adults it can sometimes cause lasting effects. Serena has severe fatigue and often only has 4 hours a day of energy when she can get things done. Other symptoms include brain fog and restless leg. She has really suffered now for 6 years with this disease...unfortunately there is no cure and will probably last forever.
