Ah the weekend. Well, we started Friday with the car not starting - yep it was supposed to be fixed. Got it started, finally, hot air gun helps. After school Eloise had ballet, then we rushed down the hill to violin lessons. After violin to Target for slippers and Trader Joes, then our favorite little mexican place - I get the veggie burrito wet. Yum. Saturday started with the toilet backing up into the tub. Not nice. We tried chemicals - no go. Then Franz bought a snake and went through the tub over flow, the sink and toilet. We did bring up a nice hair ball, but still no go. So I remembered we have a home warranty so phoned them and they arranged for a plumber to come out before the end of the day - 8.30. He was there at 8.30 on the dot and ran 100 feet of snake through the outdoor sewer pipe. 65 feet down hit the problem and took care of it. It seems roots can be a problem up here. Let me tell you when you have one bathroom you really appreciate it when it works! We won't go into details.
Sunday I left early to set up some art for the local home show, then went on location to paint - photo to arrive later. It was a beautiful fall day. I set up at a little 1920's cabin, recently restored. It was darling. I loved it. Anyhow, after that the Hunters came up, and brought dinner. How nice! The best part was the pumpkin cheese cake. I've never had it before and it was fabulous! Look to Michele's food blog for the recipe. It had a ginger snap crust. MMMMM. We had a little walk at the lake and enjoyed watching Elias torment Hamish. We also read Jake and Jeni's new blog together, we laughed we cried. It was a full weekend and now I need a break. Don't think I'll get one.

It always sounds like you all are having so much fun. Got a call from Lorie and invited her to Ruby's little birthday bash, but they didn't make it, I am so sad! Glad you get to enjoy fall where you are, sounds like it's not that easy in your great state to find fall period! See you in a month or so!

probably that day unless I find a chance to get down to Jo-ann's.
