Tis the season to dance! The mountain communities take their Nutcracker Ballet very seriously. Which is probably why we have seven performances! One father told me that the Nutcracker offers an opportunity for the community to come together and rejoice - especially after fires. So, Eloise, a darling silver chocolate kiss, has three morning performances for the schools, two night performances and two matinees for the adults. We will all be pooped by the time this is over (Sunday afternoon). I will be volunteering tomorrow to do check in - make sure no dancers go astray. Many of the kids go on independent study for the week, but Eloise has decided to tough it out. Then after the ballet I rush to her school to do an Andy Warhol project with her class. Just found out about that today. Why am I always the last to know? Friday morning I am going to a GATE conference with Eloise's Principal - who asked for a Parent representative. I need to learn to say no. Oh, and Michele, I donated over 2,000 grains of rice. Fun website!

Best of luck to Eloise! And she gets to study Andy Warhol? There's hope for the school arts systems yet.
Pictures! And make the girls update their blog.
