The Eve of Christmas

Well, it is here. That day we work so hard for and yet I still feel like I need more time. It all went too fast. I never put my gingerbread house together - the pieces are on top of the fridge - I never made biscotti, or Christmas bread, I'm still working on cards and have a gift to complete tonight, never took treats to the neighbours, and don't feel I've done any great charity. Even so here it is the eve of Christ's birth. Will I be this unprepared when he comes again? I sure hope not. I will need some quiet time tonight staring at the tree. I love the tree and all it's magic and wonder. It echos fond memories of years past and Christmases to come. Funny how something so simple can hold so much.

Well, I hope you are all warm and happy and full of joy and wonder. Have a very Happy Christmas.
