MaCall made me very proud yesterday. She auditioned for the High School Drama production of The Wizard of Oz. She sang
White Christmas for the panel of judges - and was the first one to go up. They asked the junior high kids to audition for Munchkins (in hopes they enjoy it and will want to do Drama next year). Anyhow,
whether she gets in or not I am just proud of her for doing something I never had the guts to do!
We sent Eloise to school today. She is still itchy and spotty, but the doctor said it is not contagious, probably just dry skin. I don't buy this, but I have a general distrust for doctors. Dry skin does not usually make a person feel dizzy and malaise. We have slathered her in baby oil,
hydrocortizone, and greasy creams. Poor thing.

That is so great of MaCall to audition. I was way too shy at that age and wish I hadn't been.
Poor Eloise--did you take her in? I'm telling you there are a million viruses out there with a rash and I think our kids have had about 1/2 of them. It's a bummer because it's like the doctors could really care less. Hope she's feeling better soon!!
I don't trust doctors either. Isn't it possible to get shingles after the chicken pox if exposed again, for some people? I also don't like to research medical stuff on the internet because then I think I have every disease ever diagnosed and I become obsessed, but sometimes I allow myself 5 or 10 minutes to look something up.
Yay for MaCall - I can't wait to hear if she gets a part!!
From what I read, shingles only come out on half of your body - or one side. Eloise has spots on both. She still has them, but I sent her to school anyhow. Now we are dealing with MaCall and her swollen feet! Her toes are so tight they look like they will pop and when you touch them she cries. She is down the mountain today with franz seeing the doctor.
Poor girls. I hope they feel better soon.
*big hugs to both of them*
I don't trust doctors as far as I can through them, either. It's like they get their souls sucked out in medical school, or something.
I hear you - I was so grateful we got on the ball docs when we had our hospital runs. So it's not Chicken pox then? there is a fabulous cream you could try - it's mary kay extra emoliant night cream, it is wonderful for my exzema and might help. Also you could try Aquaphor, that stuff is great too. what is happening with MacCall's feet? I hope your doing better by now! Poor ladies.
good luck, let us know how you all fair.
Yes, we are using aqufor on Eloise. We are waiting for tests to come back on MaCall, but we do know her kidneys are leaking protien so her feet are swelling. Just another weird thing.
Wow, keep us posted on MaCall's condition.
How is Eloise today??
