Composting

Yesterday I gave into a craving and went to Starbucks for a hot chocolate with sugar free hazelnut flavoring. Yum. I noticed that they offer large bags of used coffee grounds to use in your composting and garden. The bags are free. Here is a link where you can read more about the use of coffee grounds in your garden, worm composting etc. http://www.starbucks.com/aboutus/compost.asp So, next time you are near Starbucks pick up a bag and get composting. I put some on my hydrangias - nitrogen loving and then sprinkled the rest on my compost heap.

I would never have thought that I could get a good hot drink and compost too.

Now--if I had anything to use it for...

Heidi you have those big planters in the back now that are going to need lots of compost for beautiful flowers and veggies!

you are right...when we get around to filling them we will have to be good about treating them right!

I'm aiming for early June--Dylan's baptism.

Cool. I'll have to get some to add to my worm bin. I want great tomatoes this year. We'll be looking for a Sees call - yummy.

when I read everybody's blogs about gardening, sewing, knitting, I feel so inadequate. I don't do any of those things! I wish I could. Maybe when the kids get older, I can devote more time to it.

Nikki, all of it comes with time and I for one really do not know what I am doing. It is trial and error. When I have a question I just look it up on the internet.
