I left my family this weekend to play in the streets of Denver. I met five friends from Cottey College - many I had not seen for 20 years! We decided to celebrate our birthdays all at once. It was great fun. It was amazing to me how we were all very much the same, smarter and more world wise, but the same. Joyce still has to eat every 30 minutes and is still a stick, Wendi is still miss organised, getting up at 6am to work out and make her bed - in the hotel! Shelley still talks with her hands and has a way of confidence about her. Pauli is still the life of the party and has something positive to say about everyone. Anna is still soft spoken and was always pretty, but has lost her awkward teen self and is just amazingly beautiful now. We talked, ate, talked, walked, talked, ate some more, hung out in the hotel and talked some more. We did tour the Molly Brown house and that was interesting, but the best part was just being together again and knowing we can go 20 years and still just be as comfortable and fun as always. That was a real perk to going to a women's college. I made friends there that will be friends forever.

what a fun time. Isn't it great when you find friends that no matter how long it's been you can always pick up like you spoke yesterday.
How fun! It seems everyone is connecting with old friends. (you, Amanda) I have some cookies for you, we'll have to figure out how to do an exchange.
That's great to have kept in touch for so long. I think I have a few I've known that long. I should contact them!
