So, after three hours of church, and a three hour nap, I'm trying to function till bed time. Thursday I was painting all day and missed my nap, Friday I missed my nap to take MaCall to the nurse for a vaccine, then yesterday we went to Pasadena for a violin lesson and concert. My body can not handle this! I am paying for it now. Pasadena went great, aside from Eloise taking FOREVER to pick out new shoes, so we only had a few minutes at Doug and Michele's before we had to leave for the Ambassador (not the Civic Center, Michele - two different places). Michele made this yummy citrus sorbet. MMMMMMmmmm. I could use more of that. Mason is just looking so beautiful! I could eat him too. Anyhow, the California Philharmonic was really great. I especially appreciated the Maestro, victor Vener, and his comments on each of the Brandenburg concertos. I came away with a new understanding of the music. MaCall's teacher, Pavel was concert master. He was amazing. His solo in no. 1 Adagio was beautiful. Sounds like I know something huh? I especially liked the trumpet in No. 2. They had an amazing harpsicordist. Everything was set up as it would have been if they had been playing for the royalty. Musicians standing for their turn, seats at the back of the stage for between times. The Brandeburgs believed being in contact with too many instruments at once was not good for their health so did not expose themselves to too many players at once. We had the best seats in the house, sat with Pavel's son and his wife. We felt special! It was a lovely evening. Elosie did not fully appreciate it, but that is to be expected. Oh, afterward we went backstage and met the Maestro.

So today, tired.
