Mom and Steve came down to spend a week at Camp Pendelton so we drove down Saturday and spent Sunday with them. Oceanside turned out to be a really nice place - Franz had been telling me how dumpy it is, not so.Here are the girls being sea creatures at the beach on the camp.
I have never been on the base - it is also huge and very beautiful inside, rolling green hills, palm trees, lake etc. We did lots of bird watching - huge storks were nesting in the trees - BIG BABIES! I watched this lovely crane land at San Louis Rey Mission. 
This is the Oceanside pier at night - lovely!
