Summer Time!

Ah summer time. The weather has been lovely on the mountain. My allergies are a bit better so I went back to opening the windows at night. The breeze is perfectly cool. The stars have been amazing too. A level of stress has dropped off MaCall, who has a twinkle of mischief in her eye. Yesterday she and Eloise went to the Pantages Theatre to see Wicked - they loved it. MaCall has had braces put on - green rubber bands. Today we did some morning mind work and chores, reading, painting, wii ing, naps. Franz and Eloise made fairy houses. How many Dad's do that? It was actually his idea. I think they turned out really nice.
One of my favorite past times is watering. I know, we need to conserve, but our plants are doing really well. Our lawn is pretty green aside from a few needy spots. Our pumpkins are taking over! We will be eating peas next week. Life is good.

I loved building fairy houses when I was a kid. I did dollhouses in cabinets, too. Glad your summer is going well.

Those fairy houses rule! Someday when you guys come to MN we'll show you the fairy house at Lake Harriet!
BTW Serena, you were right! Cranford is on its way.

Franz found quite a number of fairy houses on line - all back East - must be a past time there. Anyhow, it made for some fun. Hope you enjoy Cranford. Think of me during the "orange" scene. I love it!

No wonder MaCall wasn't showing a teethy grin! Sounds like a nice, carefree summer. Enjoy it while you can.

Sounds like my kind of summer! Franz is a great dad to get down and really play with Eloise! It's great to hear that you all are doing well!

those fairy houses look like they're right out of a book! How fun. I remember Christie doing that when she was little.
