Sunflower Fun

I find these sunflowers to be totally amazing. How wonderful that they can turn into these masses of seeds all packed in undulating rows. We will roast some, save some for next year's planting and probably sell some. I am pleased with this year's harvest. No need to buy pumpkins and these are just so cool!

these shots are amazing! I'd love to see some paintings from them. check out my flickr--the pics I took at your house are all on there. it's on my sidebar.

my favorite is the fireplace shot...

VERY COOL. my neighbor planted sunflowers three years ago and it has been a total pain for us. they grow over our driveway making it an even tighter fit. and they take up residence in the tiniest cracks of sidewalks and such. I wish I could just love them, but mostly they just annoy us. seriously their entire yard is sunflowers. it's too much - and they don't harvest any of them.

How can you not love a sunflower? They are so happy, the bees love them, they provide seeds for birds and humans and are so huge they make you feel like a child again.
