Update

Here we are eating al fresco with the Jackman's and Mike. It was a lovely afternoon.
Yesterday was the Rim High talent show. MaCall's quartet played Elenore Rigby. They did not win, but did have fun.

So, my Autumn crash is here full swing. Yesterday I slept till Franz woke me at 10.30, then managed to stay awake till 12.30, then slept till around 5.30, then back to bed at 9. I do get a little more wind in the evening. Not sure why that is, but try to get a few things done before I crash for the night.

Last night at 2.22 we heard the most horrible noise. Lucy was freaking out and it was not her usual "I see the neighbours cat in the yard" noise. Franz jumped out of bed and yelled Raccoon! I jumped out of bed (not a good thing) in time to see it slink off under the kitchen window. It had been at our sliding door pawing at Lucy - who in return was screaming bloody murder. Quite interesting. That is a first. It was as large as a medium size dog.

Oh, also yesterday Franz decided to be manly and use his chain saw to remove a dead tree from the yard, he thought he had the notch angled just right for it to fall into the yard, but instead it fell right toward the house, fortunately got caught up in another tree - no harm done, but exciting all the same.

That is a darling picture of Macall. I love that her quartet played Eleanore Rigby-totally awesome.

Cool raccoon story. Go Lucy, protecting the house.

Macall looks really cute! I'm sorry you are so tired, maybe you are meant to hibernate?!

It's hard to be woken by noises like that. We have a very loud cat but the last week he's lost his voice and it's been awesome! I mean, he's not howling all the time in the middle of the night and waking people up. Poor thing has a chronic hairball issue that causes him to lose his voice. Anyway, he's been chasing squirrels in the yard lately and I'm dreading the day I find one on the front steps, while carrying babies into the house after work or something...
