Eloise survives Yosemite

Eloise survived Yosemite! They encountered a bear in the camp ground, saw lots of dear, magnificent water falls, and big trees. They hiked in the rain, swam when it was dry, saw an Indian Hotel, ate at In-n-Out and Hodels. They did mani and pedi's in their tents and over all had a good time. We are glad to have her home!

Welcome back, Eloise! Glad you enjoyed Yosemite. My mother (your great-grandmother) worked summers at Yosemite as part of the staff when she was in high school and loved it. She would often take us there camping as we were growing up and we would see the bears, deer, and sometimes have to run from the blue jays as they swooped down on our picnic table to steal our food. I notice from your photos that not much has changed; the asphalt path you are standing on with Bridal Falls behind you was a dirt path when I stood in that same place at your age.

I stayed in those same tent cabins in 7th grade when I went to Yosemite-it's the only time I've been there. We've got to go back some time.

Hey, is MaCall done with her teacher-imposed exile from the computer yet? Because it's getting boring around here and Facebook without her.
