Well, we have the student of the Month of the Valley of Enchantment Elementary School here at home tonight. Eloise is a wonderful girl and such a bright academic. Brilliant really.

We also have a small chickadee outside our patio. He flies in and out repetatively and just thrills Serena to no end.

MaCall and I worked on her catapult project which was due this week. While I am not skilled in manly activities such as cutting and hammering, I did enjoy working with her. Here she is using Grandpa Shirley's old hand drill!

Below is a picture of our top terrace where we have planted vegetables such as pumpkins, peas, chili peppers, etc... We also have our vineyard here as well hoping for a bumper crop and a few bottles....

Finally we have just begun working on our lower terrace, clearing weeds and building mounds. We have moved our pond down here, constructed an arbor and a climbing pyramid. We have also planned a formal garden here which Serena and I laid out on Thursday.

Go Eloise! Yay!

I want to see more pics of the catapult. And that renaissance faire MaCall mentioned, too. I wish I could come. :)
