January

Thursday we made an outing to Pasadena for a violin lesson. Our teacher lives in a lovely bungalow built in the 1950's for the Dodgers's administration. At the bottom of his street is one of the oldest churches in Los Angeles - the Church of Angels. Here MaCall and Eloise pose for pics.
After visiting the church we stopped by the Hunters to check out Michele's new hair do! Nice! Mason approves as well. Franz and Elias played with the train set, the girls were in the back room listening to some music, Hair Spray? and singing along.
When we went out to the car to leave Elias became very dramatic and reaches out to Franz "Take me away with you!". They are buds.
We arrived home on time for the rain to start. Our first night the rain blew so hard it found little chinks under the door, around our window and down the heater vents to leak into the house. I had pots and pans everywhere. Sunday night it rained just as hard, but not the wind, so no leaks. Sunday night the snow came. Isn't it lovely?
Monday morning Franz digs the car out! We parked at the bottom so as not to need to shovel the entire drive, or slide off the side! The girls are back to school today. Life goes on!

Franz, it looks like all the snow shoveling you did in SCL when we lived together is now coming in handy.

No doubt! I was totally thinking that as I shoveled away. Luckily it was far less snow...that was wild wasn't it? Hope you are doing well!

Hey, that church, in South Pasadena, is very close to my Mother's place. I used to bike by it all the time. Nice little chuch, I miss L.A. every day!

Cute pictures but, oh, I don't envy the snowstorm. It stormed here too. Blew our gate down. Looking forward to your Mom and Steve coming this weekend. Wish we could see you guys too.
