Nightly Readings

Many years ago my sister in law - April- gave us a copy of Charles Dickens's Life of Our Lord. I brought it out a couple of nights ago and we started reading a few chapters after dinner each night. He wrote it for his own children, not intended for publication, so is very sweet when he stops to explain what a camel is or where a place can be found. It is really lovely and is helping to keep us in mind of the real reason for celebrating Easter - not just the joy of spring and sweets!
