Look Back

Figured I'd upload a few of the things we missed while my camera was on hiatus. Me at the car show.
Saturday's gas prices...
MaCall's quartet...
A few lovely blooms. The mountain is really beautiful right now. As I was driving to a brunch for Meet the Master's volunteers I was appreciating the blue sky, the beautiful trees and layers of mountains in the distance. Right now it is good to be here. The brunch was great. The woman who played hostess lives in a gated community on the opposite side of Lake Arrowhead from the village. The homes were better than anything I'd seen in Westlake or Thousand Oaks - Huge French style chateau's surrounded by green lawn and trees. The food was good too...

MaCall went to Fiesta Village today with a group of 8th graders. It was a special field trip for 4.0 students - basically a theme park. She had a really good time, but did manage to feel sick after too many rides on spinning cups, with hot sun and sour skittles. Good times good times.

Eloise has an award assembly tomorrow where they will grant her an award for Gold Honor Roll - also 4.0. Good kids, good kids. We are blessed.

It seems I have developed asthma. I've never had allergies. I could blame Hamish, but so many people tell me it is the trees and grasses up here - I'll chose to believe them.

Okay, time to exercise, yuck, and watch the results of "So, You think you can dance".

Hello, Serena, Franz, MacCall and Eloise,
I really enjoy your blogs- hearing of your adventures- you certainly have had some over the past months!
Just to let you know that things could be worse with your gasoline prices- I did a quick US gallons to litres and US dollars to £ sterling calculation, and you are paying 64p per litre- it is now £1.19 per litre here in Norwich, and no sign of price rises stopping!

I'm so proud of MaCall and Eloise, and I give props to their brilliant parents.

Speaking of Lake Arrowhead, have you seen or heard of any daffodil fields, full of massive amounts of daffodils?

Great to hear about such successes in school! Gas in NY has gotten crazy too. But not as high as in the mountains where you are!
