Eloise had Nutcracker try outs today (which she did not feel too great about, but I thought she looked really good) so while she was at the studio Franz and I walked around Arrowhead village looking at the woody boats and car show. I love it. The music is great, the cars and boats are beautiful! When I look at the cars I think Bonnie and Clyde, when I look at the boats I think Some Like it Hot. Now, I took some amazing photos, BUT, MaCall's quartet had a gig at a cafe in Running Springs, I took photos of the quartet, Franz took a video, and one of us, Franz or I managed to leave the camera behind. I feel like my right arm has been cut off! One of the mom's called and said she would have her daughter give it to MaCall on Monday, so all will be okay, but until then I feel so lost! So here are other people's photos. By they way, if you ever wonder "what should I get Serena for her birthday, mother's day, Christmas, 4th of July...I still need the DVD of Some Like it Hot.
Love the ending! So funny!
Yesterday my friend Helga and I actually did some painting at the village. The boats were already there, so we were able to walk around, take photos etc and not even have to pay the $5 to walk out on the dock. Of course, the cool photos are in the camera! Aside from that, we are all well. It is beautiful here, the clematis is in bloom - dark purple, the roses are in bloom, pansies and lobelia are doing great. The pumpkins are coming up. We may be forced to live on them come August as the gas prices today are $4.75! Will it end? I really don't think so. As long as someone is making money they will continue to gouge the consumer. I wonder how much a horse would cost?
