Day out to Long Beach
Yesterday was one of those days where we all needed to get away. You know the sort of days where you know that if you spend one more day doing the same old same old you will end up terribly depressed or at each other's throats. So, Franz being the good guy that he is, went online and bought tickets to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. Hamish had his appointment in Fountain Valley to be fixed, so we dropped him off at nine and made it to the aquarium by ten. I will say that Long Beach was much nicer than I thought it would be. It was beautiful. The aquarium was a little on the busy side, but the wharf near by was deserted. It was great. We did far too much walking for my foot's desire, but it was so beautiful that I kept going. Everyone was in such good spirits.
We later met Craig and Carly and Elliot for dinner at the Veggie Grill in Irvine. I loved my salad, but Franz and MaCall were not so keen on their meat substitute hamburger. They should have listened to me - don't eat food that is trying to be something it's not! The sweet potato fries were good.
All in all it was a nice day and for some unknown reason I'm feeling quite pissy today. Sometimes you just wake up that way and don't have any reason for it. I hate that.

Very Cute Pictures.
Sounds like a great day! Wish we could have joined you.
Oh, and pissy moods must be in the air, because I've encountered a few people that maybe should have stayed in bed today. Hope your day gets better!
good looking family. great pictures. really want some red shoes now. hope tomorow is better for your mood!
Looking good, people! So much fun.
Hopefully tomorrow will be better, Serena. Some days are just cranky days.
A fun day in Long Beach, eh? I remember Long Beach was a place to avoid when I was growing up down there. My dad's mother lived in Long Beach for many years, but seemed to like it. I'm glad the aquarium was fun; your photos sure reflect how pleasant your escape must have been.
By the way, when I was 14 we moved to the first tract housing just built in a newly developed city called Fountain Valley, but I have a feeling that what you saw no longer had that "new city" look to it.
No,Fountain Valley did not look so new, but wasn't too scary either.
Great shoes!!
